Ooops, I swapped again…

I discovered blogging in fact when I was looking for crochet-inspiration after having moved to Mauritius (this is when I stopped knitting because it is too hot here for woolen jumpers and co). I have found loads and loads of crafty French blogs, one more beautiful then the other. Before launching my own blog, I started using instagram and there, again, so many beautiful things for the eyes! I was a huge admirer since of Cendrine from Fée des Pom’ en Sucre, who does the most amazing things with Liberty fabric. She sews many of her children’s clothes herself and I followed her blog and instagram for nearly two years. I was so lucky that she happened to enjoy my crochet dolls and so one day, we decided to organise a swap. Cendrine sent me a package, yes, a package!!!, full of clothes for my girl, beautifully crafted and smocked:

A linen smock tunic in pastel pink together with two skirts, one in the blue Liberty of London fabric you can see on the picture, another pink one that I have unfortunately no picture of (currently in the laundry…).

A beautiful dress in Liberty of London fabric in pastel blues and pinks…

A lovely tunic in green and pink hues, Liberty of London.

Yet another smocked Liberty of London tunic with the cutest embroidered roses near the neckline…

And, as a special attention, a small baby outfit made of a white, ruffled shirt and a bloomer, which I shall be using by the end of this year or beginning of the next. <3

I was touched by Cendrine’s generosity and now, that I have seen her work from close, am even more impressed by her accuracy and handiwork, everything is precise and the finishing is impeccable, perfection really! I dearly hope that one day I’ll be able to sew myself like that. It is A-MA-ZING!

Mille mercis, Cendrine, pour toutes ces merveilles! Je les aime toutes, et la miss aussi!!!

Since, Cendrine has received my part of our swap, so I’ll be able to show it to you soon. <3 (It seems to me that wordpress does not provide symbols anymore… Before, they had these cute little hearts… now I have to use a < and a 3… Not so very poetic…).

Wishing you all a nice weekend!
