Odette’s marble cake finding its way to Mauritius

One of the blogs I visit regularly and I am a huge fan of, is the French blog Une Poule à Pas run by Aurélie. She is a highly crafty and culinary lady and you’ll find a lot of sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking…you name it! So, when I saw her marble cake, I had to try it as well.

You can find the recipe here, for those who understand French. And because some people don’t understand how a marble cake can not be marbly, I made an Aurélie-Odette part according to the original, see on the left, and a marbly part. And just like that, everybody is happy again. ❤️

  1. Hello! The cake looks delicious and I would like to try making it. I understand some French and can read the recipe via the link. BUT, what cooking time did you use? I see Aurelie had trouble with the oven temperature and time…
    Thank you! Best regards, Cecily

    1. Hi Cecily! Right you are! 150 degrees and 90 minutes. The long cooking time on a low temperature achieves that the cake won’t be dry, but wonderfully juicy.
