How to keep little feet warm…

When Oma comes to visit, her hands never rest! She has always been knitting, even when I was a little girl (I will never forget the beautiful turquoise, matching jumpers she has knitted for us. I loved it when we wore them at the same time!). Today, she does not knit so much for me, but she still knits for my kids. So when she saw that I don’t have any socks my baby could wear in winter, her busy hands  went to work immediately…

Oma used different yarns for the socks. The ivory socks are knitted with Merino wool, the pink ones with a yarn for socks by Butinette, if I remember correctly, and the ice-blue ones are made with DMC Natura cotton yarn, because, well, yes, winter does not get really cold here in Mauritius, right? I think I will have to ask Oma to make a pair for me as well! ♥
