Her Majesty loves pink crochet and silk

Once upon a time I was told that a true princess needs a sparkly crown… “Fair enough”, I thought and went to work. And since it seems that a little bit of sparkle is not enough of sparkle, some more sparkle had to be added to the top of her Majesty’s gown. She then went on to happily work on her majestic wave as you see.

Yes, yes, there she was waving farewell to leave for the New York. But obviously not without her provision packed in her favourite bag.

I worked with DMC’s coton Natura yarn and a crochet hook size 2.5. I am buying the amigurumi safety eyes on Etsy and use some thicker thread for embroidering the nose and mouth. I have used a very small hook size, 1.25, for the crown which I crocheted using some sparkly yarn. Phildar has a selection for instance. I used some silk for the dress and added a scarf made of Liberty of London fabric.

A big hug with hier friend before leaving for a new adventure!
